Covington Art Market is a juried market of STAA Artist Members. STAA Artist Membership is required to participate. Become a Member here.

CAM is a great opportunity for fine artists seeking a venue to sell their artwork. Painters, photographers, mixed media artists, illustrators, potters, sculptors are all encouraged to participate. Held in partnership with the City of Covington, the Covington Art Market is strategically held during different city events.

A separate registration is required for each date. Registration typically opens 4 to 6 weeks prior to any event.
For two artists sharing a space, membership is required for each artist.

Spring for Art

Mark your calendar because there are few better ways to spring forward than with Spring for Art, a celebration of music, art and performing arts, and few better places to celebrate such than historic downtown Covington. Spring for Art is a free festival held in the streets of the city’s historic downtown district. Produced by St. Tammany Art Association, the annual event draws thousands of patrons who come out to enjoy the live music, art demonstrations, performances and dining in numerous Spring for Art locations.

This year, Spring for Art will feature a sprawling Art Market all along Columbia Street, live music, demonstrations, and the return of our local mixologist cocktail competition Mix Masters.

This event is supported by a grant from the Louisiana Division of the Arts, Office of Cultural Development, Department of Culture, Recreation and Tourism, in cooperation with the Louisiana State Arts Council, a administered by the St. Tammany Parish Commission on Cultural Affairs.

St. Tammany Art Association, in partnership with the City of Covington, presents the Covington Art Market, a seasonal juried market of visual arts and crafts held on first Saturday of the month and during the Columbia Street Block Party.

The Saturday markets are held from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m, and Block Party Markets are held from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. Saturday Markets are held at 510 E. Boston Street in Downtown Covington, and Block Party Markets are held in Art Alley on Columbia Street. The event features a variety of work from local and regional artists, including jewelry, photography, paintings, woodworking, fiber art, pottery and more.

The purpose of the market is to provide exposure and a venue for our members to showcase and sell their work. While you’re here, we encourage you to visit Covington’s variety of artisans and merchants, the historic museum at H.J. Smith & Sons General Store and the Saturday Farmers Market, which takes place from 8 a.m. to noon on Saturdays at 609 N. Columbia Street, just a few blocks away!

After you visit the market, please enjoy a bite at one of downtown Covington’s many restaurants. It’s a great way to spend your day!
