In conjunction with our recent fibers show, “Thick With Color,” Morris discusses her works focus on personal worth within the realm of commodity culture, as it determines desirability on an individual level, and thus makes trophies of us all. She discusses her artworks, both lithographic and sculptural, the transitions and juxtapositions between the two, as well as delves into the meanings behind the use of materials, such as the taxidermy form, as they relate to commodity culture and consumerisms view on individuals but especially women.
Mark your calendar because there are few better ways to spring forward than with Fall for Art, a celebration of music, art and performing arts, and few better places to celebrate such than historic downtown Covington.
