This Discovering Watercolor Course is for all skill levels. This four-week course explores nontraditional watercolor techniques. Together, we will navigate a variety of techniques and exercises. Rachael will guide you in developing the skills, knowledge, and confidence in these unique areas of watercolor creation. No prior knowledge of watercolor is required! This course is for adults only. This course is mainly about having fun, creating art with unexpected outcomes, and applying experimental skills to everyday watercolor ideas.
Week 1: Brusho Powder & Pipettes
Week 2: Collage & Masking Fluid
Week 3: Bubbles, Saran Wrap, & Textures
Week 4: Layering, Salt, & Tape
All Experience Levels Welcome!
Students are Responsible for Most Supplies
Minimum Age: 18
All supplies available at Mo’s Art Supply in Downtown Covington.
Classes located at 320 North Columbia Street in Downtown Covington!
About Rachael
Rachael Lagarde Walker is a local Covington artist and an art educator. With over thirteen years of experience as an educator, Rachael enjoys teaching artists of all ages. She paints out of her studio in north Covington where she specializes in watercolor painting with surprising imagery in a classic style. Her teaching style has an emphasis on the idea of positively accepting mistakes as growth. We are all on our own learning journey. Rachael’s goal as an art educator is to positively support you as you navigate the world of self-expression through watercolor painting.
