THIS FOUR-WEEK SESSION MEETS AUGUST 5, 12, 19, 26
Beginner level students will learn step by step how to throw basic forms on the potter’s wheel. In the first two classes, students will learn and practice making different vessels that could be wheel thrown such as mugs, bowls, and plates. Students will trim their thrown pieces and then work with stamps and tools to add different texture/designs to their work. In the third-class students will add attachments or finishing touches. In the last class students will apply glazes and the instructor will give students a time/date to pick up their fired pieces.
